It's been a year today.
It's been a good year.
Sure, there has been temptation.
Dreams.
Urges.
Even urges in public that we had to tamper.
That look you get when you think about it.
But, we had made a pact and so we stuck with each other and didn't give in.
Yep, we kicked smoking's butt! (what were YOU thinking? ;-))
Today marks one year since Corey and I quit smoking.
We know there will be more temptation and urges along the way, but we are here for each other and we will make it.
That is AWESOME! Good for both of you!!

So proud of you! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! We're pretty proud :-)
ReplyDeleteEventually, and not too long now,you will never crave a cigarette again. Aside from brief thoughts like, "Okay,
ReplyDeleteI'll sit down and have a cigarette and think about this,"
you won't even think about it, and when you do have a
random thought, you will think, "Oh, no I won't, I don't smoke!" These times are so seldom now that they are
almost not worth mentioning, and they by no means
indicate that I(or you)have an urge for a cigarette, it's
just a reversion to an old way of thinking. You are past
that mindset now, and you have done the best thing you
could possibly do for your health. You have given
yourselves, and your children, the best gift you can give. Congratulations on your year! You will never smoke again.
